On Sunday, health officials in Mexico logged 19,857 new infections, pushing the total number of confirmed positive cases passed 5.4 million. Of the cumulative total number of cases 86.0% are considered recovered. In the last 24-hours, authorities have reported 470 Covid-related deaths for a total of 315,525 fatalities attributable to Covid-19.
Globally, over 424 million cases have confirmed positive for Covid-19 according to Johns Hopkins University data. Since the start of the pandemic, over 350 million people have recovered. Fatalities attributable to Covid-19 now surpass 5.8 million worldwide.
